What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?
The biggest challenge I will face in the next six months is planning my retirement from LAUSD as a SPED and the next chapter of my life without special Ed in that capacity in my life.
If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?
If I could make my cat Zombie understand one thing it would be that he makes my life complete and I love him very much.
What is your mission?
My mission is to help people feel better about themselves by dressing well everyday they go out.
Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?
Yes I play in my daily life. I love to dance, so dancing to You Tube videos at home or with the Special Education students I work with at work says “playtime” to me.
Why do you blog?
I blog to communicate my fashion ideas to the world.
How are you feeling right now?
I’m feeling extremely depressed right now because one of my day jobs has become a war zone.
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?
The small change I’d like my blog “Every Day Style: Fashion for the Mainstream” to make is to reflect that anyone can look good if they put in a little effort every day and maintain a workable wardrobe.
How would you describe yourself to someone?
I would describe myself as a nice, witty, well-dressed individualist who works very hard.
What do you listen to while you work?
I like to listen to Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers singing gospel.
What bothers you and why?
While I often have the patience of Job, the challenges posed by my daily obstacles from SLE Lupus bothers me incessantly. The fatigue and pain caused by arthritis makes my life difficult and frustrating. Still, I keep on keeping on despite this.
Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?
The food I’d eat that instantly transports me to childhood is jello. I still love it and it’s one of my favorites.
Who is your favorite historical figure?
My favorite historical figure is Coco Chanel. Not only did she liberate women from uncomfortable clothing she also created a fashion house that’s still going strong!
