What’s your dream job?
My dream job actually has three parts that all have to do with fashion journalism and can be done concurrently throughout my lifetime. I’d like to be a Fashion Editor for a magazine or newspaper in California where I’d cover fashion weeks and trends; a columnist for a trade paper where my specialty would be retail and stores; and a fashion book author who also conducts workshops focusing on subjects from my books.

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?
I’ve felt loved when my cat Zombie massages my legs then sleeps next to me for our afternoon nap. I have SLE Lupus and he just always seems to know when I need extra attention to alleviate the pain and stress indicative of the disability.

What is your favorite animal?
My favorite animal is a cat. Even though I’ve had other cats, the cat I own now, Zombie is the love of my life, a blessing, my muse, my family and my inspiration. He’s God’s gift and who I’d want to be if I were an animal.

Think back on your most memorable road trip.
The most memorable road trip was when I was little and my mother had just bought her Gran Torino. She wanted to take it on the road, so she, my brother, grandmother and aunt drove up to Vancouver, Canada. We went through Oregon and Washington to get there. It was absolutely amazing.
Two of the most memorable things that happened were my brother ate nothing but pancakes and hamburgers the whole way and my aunt bought a whale’s tooth necklace at a gift shop.
I’d love to recreate that trip one day when I have my own family.

What snack would you eat right now?
The snack I would eat right now is “Minute Maid Soft Frozen Lemonade” because it’s refreshing, filling and tastes good after a savory dish.

What is your mission?
My mission is to communicate-whether it’s through my writing, my clothes, or personality.
