Outfit of the Day: Moody Monday

This morning when I boarded the bus to return to work following my fall, while working as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for LAUSD the bus driver made my week by saying, “You look so nice today!”.

I’ve found it’s easier to mentally prepare for my physical therapy sessions if I wear a uniform, so I always try to wear a pair of sweatpants or joggers and a simple tee. Outside of a bad right leg cramp I had yesterday, after running a couple of errands, I feel a lot better than I did a month ago.
Unfortunately, while it’s still an unnecessary and unforeseen setback, it did allow me to heal away from the environment that caused it. Now I’m a little older and wiser in a good way.

Although I had an exhausting morning checking out what’s new at “Ross Dress For Less” and “Marshalls” in Inglewood, California I felt both stylish and comfortable in my James Dean tee and favorite distressed vintage Levi’s. While I saw quite a bit that I liked, and even tried in a pair of black wedgie Mary Janes and a brown corduroy blazer with gold buttons, I was conservative and just came away with a gold chain necklace and 100% cotton XL shopping bag.
