Outfit of the Day: Stripes for the Holidays

Striped

I had quite an eventful day at “Target” today working on the seventh (first draft) chapter of my book. I saw a lot of “classics” that could help any woman add to her wardrobe without breaking the bank. Two of the most valuable and practical pieces I bought were two bungee cord midi skirts, one light brown and one black, that I can wear for numerous occasions.

My Life Today

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

No my life today definitely isn’t what I pictured a year ago. In some ways it’s better and in some ways it’s worse. I’m still working too much and too hard in a day job, Special Ed, that’s becoming increasingly challenging and writing my first book amongst this scenario. Fortunately, I’m a lot stronger and smarter after experiencing so much since 2023 but my hope is 2025 will offer more mental and creative opportunities where I can relax more and enjoy life at a leisurely pace without so much stress.

Outfit of the Day: Holiday Saturday

Holiday Saturday

Ninety percent of this outfit was thrifted and previously loved. The jacket is from the dollar rack at “Tick Tocker Timeless Treasures” in Culver City and the “Michael Kors” top and “Shein” pants from the “Goodwill Thrift Store” on Crenshaw Blvd. in Los Angeles, California.

Outfit of the Day: Showtime Red and Black

Yesterday and today I performed “Feliz Navidad” with a student from the class I work in at “Vermont Avenue Elementary School/LAUSD” for our Christmas show. I bought the red Tommy Hilfiger sweater for the occasion and had my nails done too. The performance turned out to be very special and satisfying. It’s one of my most memorable experiences this year and made all of the trials and tribulations worth it.
