Outfit of the Day: Cherry Red

People often ask me how I’m able to work three jobs, deal with SLE Lupus, dress well and still accomplish so much effectively. My answer: “It’s not easy but it’s doable with a little finesse and organization. Since the main obstacles I encounter every day are pain and physical exhaustion, I work to maintain routines and balance in my life. Even if you don’t face, each day with my challenges I believe you can still gain something valuable from the five tips, I’m going to share with you.

Today, before facing a challenging day in retail as customers got ready for going back to school, I channeled two of my favorite style icons-Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn- in a denim jacket from Uniqlo, a white Simone Rocha x H & M pearl decorated tee, and a red bubble skirt from TJ Maxx.

I had an extremely busy day so I opted for something pretty and strong-a white cardie from Temu, a white top from Zara x ThredUP and my favorite distressed Levi’s.
Besides interviewing someone for an article I’m working on for “Los Angeles Sentinel”, I also continued organizing my resources for the book I’m writing, “I Love Your Look: Real Style for Real Women”,went to Kaiser to do a few labs and pick up a couple of prescriptions, shopped at Goodwill Thrift Store and had lunch at Denny’s.
I didn’t even mind choosing mostly all black clothes and accessories from Goodwill because they were so choice! I lucked out and found a black leather Tumi bag, black Armani trench coat and black and white checked Mondi blazer.
