On the day I chose to wear orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day I thought about one of my idols, Kurt Cobain, who killed himself on April 5, 1994. Brilliant, but plagued with a myriad of psychological and physical problems, a gun became his solution violently, ending his life and promise.
