Outfit of the Day: Woven Bags

Although I had an exhausting morning checking out what’s new at “Ross Dress For Less” and “Marshalls” in Inglewood, California I felt both stylish and comfortable in my James Dean tee and favorite distressed vintage Levi’s. While I saw quite a bit that I liked, and even tried in a pair of black wedgie Mary Janes and a brown corduroy blazer with gold buttons, I was conservative and just came away with a gold chain necklace and 100% cotton XL shopping bag.

Since the outfit I’m wearing toy (my dress and wide-legged jeans) are from “Target”, I’m dedicating this outfit to them and all their great fashion finds.

Yesterday my main purpose for shopping at Dollar Tree was to find some Epsom salts to help ease the pain from the fall I experienced at work, but when I saw this cool Avengers tote bag and the M&M’s candy at the checkout I decided to gift myself with a stylish care package to uplift my spirits. Although it’s harder to dress everyday now at least I’m able to maintain my eye through this recent setback with fun and appealing merch like the tote bag.

Towards the end of August, I had a nasty fall at my job as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for LAUSD so I had to take some time off, modify my activities, and go to physical therapist. That meant wearing clothes that could be removed, adjusted, and manipulated easily so the physical therapists could work, their magic.
Feeling as lax as I did during my COVID-19 zoom days, I pulled out my comfy joggers, fancy, sweatpants, easy tees, and sneakers, and paired them with a denim jacket and a bucket hat.
Eschewing the typical leggings as pants and skinny jeans route, I found this alternative suited me just as well while still allowing me to look stylish and casual.
